Art making is Soul making, and art is psyche herself made visible. Everything you see on this page (and throughout the site) are my own creative works. Please contact me if you are interested in making one of these very personal artworks your own.
I offer a glimpse my own artistic evolution so you can see that your creative efforts don’t have to result in a museum-worthy work of art to be good and worthy of sharing (as an aside, let’s remember that even the most famous and noteworthy artists did not pop out of the womb creating museumworthy masterpieces!) Creativity is a practice and the more you practice, the more YOU your art becomes. You begin to develop a visual language of your own which evolves to become your personal style. There is no value judgement to artistic expression, only the style that perfectly (or even imperfectly) expresses YOU!

Royal Messenger (2020)
11” x 14”
Acrylic on canvas
Private CollectionMy artwork is quite often fueled by dream images. I painted Royal Messenger during a period of intense dreams featuring crows. At the same time, a butterfly migration the likes of which hadn’t been seen in a decade painted our neighborhood with colorful, living confetti. Mapping the EthereaL
In 30 years of dream journaling I have collected a LOT of dreams - and a lot of images. Utilizing the concept of mapping the interior landscape I create images that embody the dreamscape, a creative endeavor of Mapping the Ethereal.
Inspired by the work of Hieronymus Bosch and the surrealist painting movement the following works recycle both concrete and unconscious materials. Mingling past and present dream images and using post consumer cardboard as canvas, found images mirror the way the unconscious recycles events, thoughts, and ideas and feeds them to us as images in our dreams. Images here serve not as exact replicas of the dream image, but instead evoke the feeling tone of a dream. Each artwork is inscribed with the dreams which inspired it.
